A World on the Brink: Climate’s Unfolding Catastrophe
Do you want to live in a world where people fight for water and resources, have to keep travelling from place to place in search of better living conditions, and the climate gets worse every day. Imagine yourself in a place like this. Will you want to be given a chance for a better alternative, will you?
From Ice Caps to Beaches: The Planet’s Cry for Help
Sadly, we can already see subtle signs in the present world, signs of a world where finding a better side to anything, is close to impossible. There will be a time when the situation described above won’t be just in our imagination anymore. The snowy ice caps, where people went to experience serendipity, are now slowly turning into a boiling pot of water. The sandy beaches, once full of life and cheer, have now been robbed of their charm by seemingly insignificant pieces of plastic, which are mixed in the sand, and hurt the feet of anyone who walks on them. With the risk of flash floods, beachside areas are now becoming more and more unwanted. Heat waves feel like scorching hot iron on a sunny day, which is a reason for many illnesses too. The Earth we know today is in a devastating, pathetic condition. It’s all over now, everything is beyond repair.
Small Acts, Big Shifts: Rewriting Our Climate Story
But is it? Can we still conserve what is left? The answer is: it’s never too late to change. We can still delay our eventual demise. Two rules I personally follow are:- 1) I never turn the AC on in the day. I only times I do are in the evening and at bedtime. If it rains? I don’t even need it. I have two of them installed in my house, and they’re never used simultaneously. 2) Staying hydrated all the time. Most important. Its good for various reasons. So it’s good to make sure to take a sip (of water) once in a while.
No Planet B: The Defining Audit of Our Era
Climate Change is here, yes, many bad things are happening, indeed. But it’s not like we can’t help it. Change is still possible. Bringing change in ourselves will help change the worl,d too. If you don’t feel like doing it, prepare yourself to beg, since that is the only thing left for you if you don’t change. We have to keep reminding ourselves: Every drop of water helps make an entire ocean.
