The Vision for an Eco-Friendly School
Havens of learning and knowledge. Places where we become better than we already are; we learn, we play, we laugh, but if we are to truly become better, our school must become better along with us; it should especially become more eco-friendly. Throughout this article, I shall explore 5 practical ideas that will aid our school in its process of becoming more eco-friendly.
Harnessing Clean Energy and Managing Waste
First of all, since we are quite a large school, we use up a fair amount of electricity; most of it is generated by coal and other fossil fuels. So, I propose to get rid of the coal and replace it with solar panels to generate clean electricity. Secondly, I want to add more dustbins, so that students will not throw trash they cannot carry onto the ground.
Conserving Water and Promoting Recycling
Furthermore, our school has a rather high population that uses up a lot of water. I believe that since many students forget to turn off the tap, we need motion activated taps that minimise wasted water. Additionally, I propose the idea of our school sending all its trash for recycling and not to the numerous dumps dotted across the city.
Empowering Communities Through Awareness
Lastly, I want our school and our school students to start awareness drives among the under privileged, these drives will help others learn and help students learn themselves because teaching is the best way of learning.
Conclusion: A Greener Future for All
To conclude, I hope that anyone, reading this will take these things to heart and help our school and our world become better, greener and more eco-friendly.
