WriteToWin is a national article writing competition for school students (Classes 6-12) focused on the important theme of Environment and Climate Change. It’s a free platform designed to help young writers showcase their talent, research a vital topic, and become advocates for our planet.

The competition is open to all students enrolled in Classes 6 through 12 who are residents of India. We have separate prize categories for different grade levels to ensure fair competition for everyone!

The theme for this competition is Environment and Climate Change. You can write an article on any topic within this theme that you are passionate about—from local conservation efforts to global climate policy.

Your article should be between 800 and 1500 words. This does not include the title or your list of references.

Please submit your article as either a Microsoft Word document (.doc, .docx) or a PDF file, using Times New Roman 12pt font and double spacing. Or, you can submit in the way you want – it must be readable.

No, only one article submission is permitted per student to ensure everyone has a fair chance.

All articles must be submitted through the official online entry form on our website. This ensures a fair and anonymous judging process. We cannot accept submissions via email. If its urgent, you may send it to support@writetowin.com but add the urgent in the subject. 

We have a total prize pool of ₹35,000 with 18 winners across 3 different age categories! Prizes include a top prize of up to ₹7,000 and many other cash awards. All winners may also receive a framed certificate (paid only). You can see the full breakdown on our “Prizes” page.

We have a fantastic panel of judges, including retired district judges, a retired Lieutenant Colonel, a VP from an Indian multinational conglomerate, a Judicial Magistrate, several practicing advocates, an engineer from IIT Kanpur, professors from different  University and the United Nations also, and the Director of a Law College!

Your article will be judged anonymously based on our official Judging Rubric, which is available on the website. We are looking for originality, clarity, good research, impactful arguments, and strong writing skills.

We’ll announce the winners on the last day of the month after the submission period closes!

Example –

Submission Period Closes: January 5, 2024. The month after January is February. The last day of February (in 2024, a leap year) is February 29th. Therefore, the results would be announced on February 29, 2024.
